Davidson Housing Coalition Website
Website Development

For more than 25 years, Davidson Housing Coalition has worked to preserve and create affordable housing options in the town of Davidson. In addition, the non-profit offers several programs to prepare families and individuals for financial stability and homeownership.
When they were ready to update their brand and website, DHC tapped freelance designer Bill Owens to handle re-branding and hired me to modernize their website. While Bill and I completed our respective parts separately, we consulted during the early stages of the website development to refine the newly minted brand and ensure consistency across the board.
In addition to stock photography used in the Coalition’s annual report, the website incorporates many photos of past affordable housing properties to dispel the myth that affordable housing lacks quality. I used color generously on the site and added animations to bring movement and further interest to each page. The result is a welcoming and information-packed destination with an optimistic outlook.
