Christmas In Davidson
Event Rebranding

The Christmas in Davidson festival began in 1988 to promote local businesses along Main Street, in Davidson, NC. Over the years, the annual event has grown in popularity and drawn crowds from surrounding communities and beyond. In 2015, the Town decided to update the celebration’s graphics to be more inclusive.
I created a modern logo with a vintage feel that captures Davidson’s small-town charm. Working with event organizers, I developed a poster and a program guide for the three-day festival. The guide was distributed as a newspaper insert in advance of the celebration and was available as a handout at venues throughout town. In addition, I adapted elements of the new logo for banners hung through the downtown area.
Each year I create a new background pattern for the poster and event guide to keep the materials current.
In 2022, I created a map handout indicating at a glance where the event’s many activities and attractions could be found.
