2019 Popular Annual Financial Report
Cabarrus County enjoys both a rich history and a thriving present-day culture.
Its Popular Annual Financial Report provides a lite version of the County’s financial balance sheets. Designed for average citizens rather than accounting experts, the report conveys complex information in an easy-to-understand format.
Shortly before I embarked on this project with Granite Sky Creative Group, Cabarrus County had updated its branding, so new graphic standards largely determined the fonts and colors used in the project. The County provided vibrant photography for inclusion in the book, which really held its own alongside the vivid colors. I added some geometric details for visual interest, recalling the triangular shape of the County’s new logo. The resulting report visually portrays the robust nature of the county it represents.
